I stayed up way past my bedtime last night! A girlfriend and I went to see The Fray at Northerly Island. Granted, we may have been some of the oldest ones there, but we still rocked out and had a blast!
That said, I'm paying for it today! Yesterday started at 4:15 am when I got up to go to the gym to be beaten down by my trainer for an hour. Then I drove to work (needed my car in anticipation of the concert) - traffic was surprisingly light. I was at the office less than an hour after leaving the gym. This says a lot since its construction season in Chicago. After work, we grabbed some great Thai food at a little place in the South Loop and then WALKED to Northerly Island - not a short walk, but it was good to walk off dinner and not deal with parking there. I finally made it home a little after midnight.
Thankfully Sienna continued her rockstar sleeping and didn't get up until 6:30 this morning. Just enough time to change and feed her and then take her to Jessica's.
Thankfully, I'm working at home tomorrow, which means I can sleep a little longer than usual and have extra time to play with the kids in the morning. Yay!
Your walk to the petrillo band shell (aka, just as good, but with better acoustics than the temporary concert venue at meigs field) would have been shorter.
And probably more booked this summer, too.
