Also known as "Mom, why is it snowing in March?" season! We're all impatiently awaiting the warmer, sunnier weather. Mac and Jake are heading out on spring break tomorrow - meaning that Jake will miss two days of school this week - uh oh! They're heading to warmer climates while Sienna and I continue to freeze here at home. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for them, just a little sad for the peanut and I! We'll make our own fun this weekend though - just the girls.
I've put my name in the lottery for the Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco this fall. I'll know on April 1 whether or not I make it in. I really hope I get in - it will force me to step up the training. Sienna is 17 months old now - I really need to stop blaming her for the extra weight I'm carrying around with me. An added bonus is that Mac has to be in Hawaii for work right before the race, so it would be the perfect opportunity for me to spend a week relaxing with him in Hawaii and then just stop off in San Francisco for the race on the way home.
On the knitting front, I'm making a scarf for a co-working in a 'gray-blue' color (her request) - scarves are great train knitting. I need to get it in gear on this one though, its wool and I'd like for her to be able to use it a little before the weather changes. I also gave in and started Clapotis so far its a fun knit, but definitely a 'home' knit, not a train knit.
good post, i have been looking for it
